HER Passion to Profit Forum and the SHE Award 2024 Kick-off Ceremony
On August 9, 2024, the HER Passion to Profit Forum and the launch ceremony for the ShangHai Honorable Women Entrepreneur Business Award 2024 (SHE 2024), organized by ShangHai Business Media, were successfully held. Over 80 Malaysian female entrepreneurs gathered, showcasing the strength and talent of women in the business world. The event was filled with a sense of empowerment and female solidarity.
After the opening remarks by Datin Dr. Cherlin Cheah, CEO of ShangHai Media Sdn Bhd, the first segment of the event featured a panel discussion with three influential female entrepreneurs: Datin Winnie Loo, Founder of A Cut Above; Christina Ng, Founder of Christy Ng Shoes; and Louise Chu, Founder of Claire Organics. These industry leaders shared valuable insights into their business strategies, inspiring other female entrepreneurs to achieve greater success.
The forum aimed to empower women entrepreneurs to enhance their business profitability and achieve sustainable growth. The panel discussion provided practical advice on how to drive businesses to new heights, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.
The event reached its climax with the ceremonial launch of the SHE 2024. With a countdown, Datin Dr. Cherlin Cheah, along with Elaine Piah, Co-founder of SBS Group Holdings Sdn Bhd, and the three panelists, popped balloons to officially mark the start of the award.
The SHE Award recognizes the outstanding achievements of female entrepreneurs, upholding the principle of “Supporting Women, Building Futures.” It aims to encourage more women to pursue careers in business and create a gender-equal business environment.
The inaugural SHE 2023 was a resounding success, celebrating the achievements of many prominent Malaysian women from various fields, including Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, Dr. Soo Wincci, Goh Liu Ying, Vivy Yusof, Yazmin Aziz, Yumi Wong, and Carrie Lee.
Recognizing the vital role of women entrepreneurs in driving sustainable economic development, the award not only acknowledges their accomplishments but also encourages them to continue to make a positive impact on the business landscape. The award seeks to inspire more young women to embrace the entrepreneurial spirit and contribute to the growth of Malaysia’s economy and communities.
